Thanks for joining me here at Goal Posts!  I’m Tresa Halbrooks (pronounced Tree-sa…. like a tree outside).  You can read my professional bio here, but I created this blog to share my personal and professional journey, behind-the-scenes, in one of the top destination cities in America – Nashville, TN. 

 

I’ve been fortunate enough to have spent a career working in the public relations, brand management and special events industry with an extensive background in professional sports and entertainment. 

 

Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned about being an entrepreneur came from my time, over a decade, working in the NFL.  That sports-minded philosophy stayed with me as I built a successful business, working with some of the most well-known, high-profile clients, celebrities and brands across the country.  It's been an incredible journey and I'm blessed to love what I do and who we get to work with. 

 

My hope is to share my unique insights to help educate, encourage and inspire young professional women by sharing my own experiences in a fun, practical way so that you can do and be your very best!  We’ll examine the game plan to create your own winning formula in your career so you too can reach your goals.  After all, someone is going to succeed; it might as well be you!  

 

Here are a few nuggets about me:

 

Jesus is my Savior. 

I’m a storyteller.

My high school graduating class was about 75 people. 

I’m a survivor of domestic violence.

I moved to Music City for music. 

I wasn’t a sports fan.

I wrote a singles column for eight years (yes, like Carrie Bradshaw).

I believe in miracles (and angels).

My karaoke song is "I Will Survive."
